akirestar07:

I have always believed that each one of us definitely has a duty. Each and every one has his own strength and talent. And there is a place for him to display those to the fullest. Exactly because of that, people who were bestowed with talent must exert their best and display that strength to the best of his ability.

If Zephyr was a Fire Emblem game:

The characters, from left to right:
Rebecca (Special Class): She still only has one arm, but working in the fantasy realm gave me a lot more flexibility when it came to prosthesis, so she has a massive, levitating, demon gauntlet, making her capable of heavy melee as well as demon-lightning ranged attacks.

Raito (Assassin): I copied the weapon from his mecha, armblades that fold into a buckler, and the armor Raito wears pretty closely resembles his mecha. Were this Fire Emblem, Raito would be fairly hard to recruit as Rebecca would have to talk to him without getting murdered…

Amelia (Cavalier): Funny, there’s totally an Amelia in Sacred Stones. Seeing how Meia’s mecha has been scrapped and currently being redesigned, I just gave her some generic armor that has decent coverage and flexibility. Her lance is a copy of Kyouko’s from the Madoka Magica manga.

Darian (Dragon rider): Dragon-rider was the perfect class for Darian, the high-flying, proud, black knight. I originally drew him with a crossbow/arbalest, as he specialized in ranged combat, but if you’re a dragon-rider, you can’t pussy out and go for the bow+arrow (it’s an image thing), so I settled for javelin instead.

Allen (Knight): Allen’s civilian girlfriend doesn’t have a role in this universe, so you can ship *cough* I mean increase the affinity of Allen with whoever you want. I have to admit, Allen looks damn good like this. Not much else to say, really, just that he looks damn good, better than Raito actually- *slapped*

Christoph (Rune Sniper): Not much to say here other than his cool-looking enchanted magic bow (because I’ve been playing fair bit of Dragon’s Dogma recently, and rune archer class is OP’d). Oh yeah, and really tight leather pants, sexy leather pants.

Robin (Myrmidon): Close-quarter specialist dual-wielding short swords. Robin’s character didn’t get drafted into the Zephyr story until fairly late, but after the first concept art, I knew she was a keeper. Unwaveringly loyal and dedicated to her charge, but this is a Fire Emblem game, so whether she dies is up to you, as is whether she gets together with Chris or not |D Also robin’s skirt is not too short, if it were long it would catch on things. I’ve already had this discussion once, just go with it.

Eve (Special Class): Literally had to change nothing on her character to fit her into this universe. Instead of a holographic nymph that connects a pilot to their mecha, Eve is now the demon spirit that gives certain magic weapons their power, most likely not playable (not that any of this is).

I always find the hardest part of a Fire Emblem to be the affinities, this is different, especially as they have some conflicting relationships to begin with…  I mean, Rebecca is supposed to be with Raito for evar and evar, but then I imagine she’d be alright with Allen, and last but CERTAINLY not least, Rebecca X Meia has always been a thing in the back of my mind… okay maybe not the back, more like front-and-center, raised above the rest on a golden pedestal with a platinum plaque which reads “MAKE THIS HAPPEN”…

When Heaven's grief brings Hell's rain,
Then I'll trade all my tomorrows for just one yesterday.

not enough Homuhomu lately, gotta make up for the deficiency.

About three things I was absolutely positive. First, I had a pokemon. Second, there was a part of me - and I didn’t know how dominant that part might be - that wanted to be the very best, like no one ever was. Third, Gary Oak was unconditionally and irrevocably a douchenozzle.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN TEN

Misty looked at Ash, his breathing still heavy from carrying her on his bike as fast as he could through the long grass outside of Pallet Town.
“You’re eyes are impossibly huge and black,” Misty said. “Your hair is… incredibly pointy, and doesn’t need product. Your face changes size and shape based on your feelings… and sometimes you speak like - like you’re from the 90’s. You never spend money on anything; you don’t go to the bathroom.”
The silence hung there, thick and heavy like a Snorlax blocking the bike path.
“How old are you?” Misty asked, not sure if she wanted to know.
“Ten,” Ash replied, with a slight smirk and an almost amused tone.
Misty new that wasn’t true. Ash wasn’t like the other boys her age. He wasn’t even like her older sisters who ran the gym in Cerulean City. He was wiser and his passion was genuine.
Ash didn’t just want to catch them all, he needed to. He was going to be the best there ever was no matter how long it took, which gave Misty this nagging in the back of her mind. She had to know for sure.
“How long have you been ten?” she asked. Her voice weak, knowing full well the answer could change everything she thought she knew.
“A while…” Ash said. His voice trailing off, as if he were losing himself in a flood of memories.
Misty let out a faint gasp. She knew now. She was certain.
“I know what you are,” she declared, as if whatever had been holding her back from accepting the truth, finally let go of her hand and let her fall right down the Diglett hole.
Ash eyes were alive now, flickering like the flame on a Charmander’s tale.
He stared right into her and said, ”Say it… out loud. Say it.”
Misty’s heart was pounding louder than the thud of a Marowak’s bone club attack.
Despite the now eerily silent meadow, she could barely be heard as she whispered, “Pokemon Trainer.”
